Development of the Chelles bus station; choice of urban furniture.
To reunite the town and revitalise its heart, the proposal centres around connecting three symbolic spaces: La Place de la Gare square, La Place du Grand-Jardin square, and the marketplace, and, on the opening of the urban area on its main site, Le Parc du Souvenir. Developed alongside works on the SNCF railway station, the bus station offers a connection between the new marketplace and Le Parc du Souvenir. Both a square and a boulevard with passenger shelters, this space is a walkway with a carpet of fiery granite and planted flowerbeds. The transparency of the glass and metal bus shelters contributes to the lightness and comfort of this hub, which acts as an extension to the new forecourt of the restored station. The site is a large garden, where buses and pedestrians can comfortably move side by side. La Place du Marché has been adapted to enhance a common feature of the urban landscape and frames it very well.
