Metz Congrès Robert Schuman was inaugurated on Friday, September 7 in the presence of all the actors of the project and in front of about 800 guests.
The building presents an unprecedented composition around the Jaumont stone, which is the symbol of Moselle architecture, and light.
The layout of the façade combines opacity and transparency, creating from inside a play of shadow and light that remind the façade of the Saint-Etienne cathedral, while from the outside, it gives the building a monolithic appearance during the day and a dematerialized one
at nightfall. With an area of 15,300 sq.m, Metz Congrès Robert Schuman has an auditorium with 1,200 seats. 80 events have already been scheduled in this new congress center.
